With #GivingTuesday just around the corner, you need to make sure to maximize and promote your campaign in order to generate good results!
#GivingTuesday is observed every first Tuesday that follows Black Friday, marking the beginning of the shopping season for the holiday. So, here are our 4 Simple Tips on how you should start promoting your #GivingTuesday Campaign.
Share your website and social media pages on various platforms
You need to maximize every single platform that you can utilize in order to promote and let everyone know that you are participating in #GivingTuesday. Be mindful though of the type of content that you should be sharing depending on the platform that you are posting.
For example, if you are posting on Instagram, you need to post something that shows Impact to highlight that you are a Social Entrepreneur. If you are posting on Tiktok, it needs to be something fun and interesting.
Remember, fit the type of content on the platform that you are utilizing.
Create an Event Thermometer
You need to have an event thermometer on your page or website, to tell people how much money you are hoping to raise and how far you are currently from that goal. This allows people to gauge how much they want to give your organization to help you achieve that goal.
It also helps you visualize your achievement, so you will always be encouraged to keep on promoting your campaign.
Ask your Ambassadors, Board of Directors, and Staff to share
Having more people sharing and talking about your campaigns allows you to reach more people that might be interested in supporting your campaign.
They can share their stories and the campaign on their own platforms, in order to let their own network of people learn about your campaign as well. Encourage them to also share their stories with the organization to create that sense of connection.
More eyes on your campaign mean more chances of success.
Come up with a plan about going live. You need to figure out who is going live, when, what will be the message that they convey during the live video, what platforms are this live video going to be seen on, etc. You need to create a plan for this rather than go impromptu on this.
